Hasegawa [HC18] Nissan Fairlady Z432R (1970) 1/24

The first-generation Fairlady Z was born in November 1969, replacing the open-body Fairlady with
a bold coupe style with a long nose and short deck closed body .

In Japan, two engine types, the L20 and the S20, were available, while in the United States, the 240Z and 260Z, equipped with 2.4 and 2.6 liter inline-6 __engines, were released
under the Datsun Sports brand and enjoyed immense popularity.

Z432R
The Z432 is a model equipped with the famous S20 engine that was installed in the Skyline GT-R. The inline 6 DOHC engine,
consisting of DOHC 4 valves/triple Solex carburetors/two camshafts (432), was combined with a 5-speed manual transmission, and had a maximum output of 160ps/maximum torque of 18.0kgm and a top speed of 210km/h. Later, the racing-based vehicle Z432R was also set up, with a lightweight body made of FRP panels, and it was also active in the racing scene. Only a few hundred Z432s and a mere 30 Z432Rs were produced, and these extremely limited demos are still talked about as the “phantom Z.”

The road racing
Fairlady Z made its debut at the Suzuka 300km race in January 1970.
The racing spec Z432R raced well, competing for the top spot from the very first race, and
went on to win its first race at the Race de Nippon 6 Hours in the same year.
